We have been collecting anitques and primitives for many years. We have a nice collection redwing crocks and old spinning wheels. We like many people were also watching American Pickers on the History Channel and liked how much fun the show was. We attended an American Pickers live event in Rockford, Illinois to see them in person.
We have been attending the Elkhorn antique flea market buying for our collections. We met with "Hippie Tom" who was selling at Elkhorn and got his autograph on a photo of the American Pickers. We came up with the idea of trying to sell some of our collections at the Elkhorn antique flea market as a seller.
Once we decided were going to become dealers, we wanted to come up with an identity that made us stand out amongst all the other sellers. We came up with Antique Farmer, It was a nickname of our late grandfather, who was also known as Mr. Thingamajig. Having the love of farming and antiques, it just seems natural. Since then we have bought and sold tons of items and having all the fun we can handle. We go to many different events to buy and sell and have met alot nice people along the way.
Thank You for the inspiration.
